FootballMarcus Rashford Puts Rivalry Aside, Hangs Out With Van Dijk, De Bruyne Ahead of New Season
- Marcus Rashford momentarily forgot his on-pitch rivalries with Virgil Van Dijk and Kevin De Bruyne
- The Premier League stars enjoyed a Calvin Harris concert together on Van Dijk's birthday
- They are expected to return to pre-season training next week ahead of the next season
Marcus Rashford spent some time with Virgil Van Dijk and Kevin De Bruyne as their summer holidays approach the tail end.
Fans were left surprised by the Premier League trio hanging out despite coming from clubs considered bitter rivals in the Premier League.
Rashford's Manchester United and Van Dijk's Liverpool are always involved in a fierce Northwest derby which has often been propagated by the fact that they are two of the most successful clubs in England, as captured by Opta Analyst.
The geographical locations of Manchester United and Manchetser City also gave rise to the Manchester derby, especially after the latter started pulling weight in 2012. No club has been more successful than the Citizens since they changed ownership in 2008.
Jurgen Klopp's and Pep Guardiola's presence in the Premier League gave birth to the modern-day rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester City. The two clubs have taken the title race to the wire in recent seasons, with City pipping Liverpool to the title by a point on two separate occasions.
Calvin Harris' Ibiza concert
All these factors were, however, non-existent as the three mingled and took photos at a Calvin Harris concert in Ibiza, as reported by GOAL. The trio were joined by Nathan Ake. De Bruyne and Van Dijk have been spotted holidaying together before.
The players are expected to wrap up their holidays and return for pre-season training with the new Premier League season now five weeks away.

Sports reported that his teammates at Old Trafford were quick to take to social media to send him a farewell message, with others reminiscing the fond memories they shared.
However, Rashford ended up committing a blunder in his Instagram post, with the forward's message suggesting it was picked from the drafts.
